You can edit any shift by clicking on the shift pill in the calendar and selecting Edit. Edit the relevant details and click Update. Note that you can only edit shifts that haven’t started.

When editing the shift details of a filled shift, the modified shift will be sent back to the same worker and become Unconfirmed.

The worker will be notified of the changes and must re-confirm that they can attend the shift. When they do so, the shift pill will again turn green.

If you want to re-publish to another worker or group of workers entirely, see our article here.

Cancelling a shift

  • Click on the shift pill in the calendar.
  • Click Delete.
  • Select the reason for deleting the shift. This will also be reflected in the shift report.
  • Click Confirm.

Once you've cancelled a shift it will no longer appear in your calendar. If the shift was filled, it will also disappear from the worker’s calendar and they’ll be sent a cancellation notification.

Note that only managers can cancel shifts. Because of this, you may receive requests from workers to cancel shifts.

Cancelling shifts in the past

Shifts in the past can be cancelled in the same way as all other shifts (see above). However, you can only cancel filled shifts within 24 hours of the end of the shift. After that, the shift can’t be deleted.

When cancelling a shift in the past, the shift will be removed from the worker’s calendar and your calendar. If the shift was filled, the worker will also be notified that one of their past shifts have been removed from the calendar.
