You can remove any shifts in the past by selecting 'delete' button from the shift details (RHS panel) 

What happens what you remove shifts in the past?

for any unfilled shifts in the past - The shift will  disappear from your calendar and no one will be notified.

for any filled (accepted) shifts in the past - The worker who has accepted this shift will get a push notification/ email notification to let them know that one of their past shifts have been removed from the calendar.
